Garmin MVUM for much of Southern Idaho (non routable)

Before you download the map there are a few things to know.

  • You have to have a Garmin GPS that is capable of having additional maps installed in it such as a Nuvi\Oregon\Montana or other GPS.
  • Download any of the files (They are executable Windows compatible install files)
  • Go here for a sample of what the map will look like.

Southern Idaho Forest Boundaries 7-10-14 Southern Idaho Forest Boundaries in Garmin IMG format (Main forest boundaries only - doesn't include private property areas in the forests)
Idaho Wilderness Areas   All of the Forest\BLM\NPS Wilderness area boundaries (soon)
Southern Idaho Forest Roads and ATV Trails 6-7-20 All of the National Forests in Southern Idaho, as well a good chunk of BLM land in Southern Idaho.
Southern Idaho Forest Motorcycle Trails   Last updated in 2014.
Idaho Land Ownership 8-31-14 What entity owns land in or around a forest or BLM land.
Utah Land Ownership 8-31-14 What entity owns land in or around a forest or BLM land.
Nevada Land Ownership 9-2-14  What entity owns land in or around a forest or BLM land.
     
National Forest Service MVUM 4-15-19 As much of the National Forest roads\trails as available in the data source.  FYI - some roads that are legal are not on the map, and some illegal roads are on the map.  Verify your region via the paper MVUM for accuracy.


Note:  On most Garmin GPS units you can install multiple maps and "layer" them over one another.  This allows you to install the Motorcycle tracks and turn them on an off if you are an ATV user but wonder what the Motorcycle trail you just came to is called.
