Sawtooth Forest - Cassia Division - Trail 004 - Third Fork Rock Creek

This is a pretty popular trail and isn't far from Porcupine Campground.  There are only two tricky spots.  The first being at the very beginning of the trail on the North end where it crosses the creek.

Pictures taken September 7, 2013

While on 163 look right and you will see the creek. Turn here and cross the creek. This picture doesn't show it well, but be careful, the rock at the bottom of the picture is kind of large

Going down the switchback to cross the creek.

Once across the creek you see this.  The trails curves behind and to the left of the tree.  Go slow, the turn is tight but pretty easy.

Imediatly after going around the tree, I turned around took this picture to show how tight the switchback is.  If going South to North you may have troube if your ATV it longer..

This picture is taken facing South.  The large rock on the left is about a foot behind and about a foot to the left of the rock on the right.  Stradle the large left rock and you will be fine.  Do not put your tires across both rocks or you will tip over and down into the creek.

This picture is facing North.  It gives you a better idea of the size of the rock.
